The Midland Highway and Lyell Highway Junction will be upgraded to improve safety and efficiency for all road users. Located in Granton on the southern side of the Bridgewater Bridge in the Derwent Valley Municipality, the junction connects the main arterial roads to New Norfolk, Brighton and Hobart.
Project works involve reconstruction of the junction to provide a single lane roundabout and upgrading of the Forest Road junction to the west.
The contract for works has been awarded to Downer EDI Works. Construction works on site have commenced.
