Full driver licence - heavy vehicle
Description

Customer provides
To progress beyond being a learner driver a person must:
- sit a theory test
- undertake a practical driving test or complete an approved training course conducted by an External Service Provider.
- Approved training courses are operated by Driver Safety Services, TransTrain and DECA Training.
To book a test
- contact an External Service Provider and arrange a date and time.
- You will need to contact an External Service Provider to make enquires about the cost of the test and make arrangements to do the test
- You will be advised of the location for the test.
Following the test
You need to undertake the following through Service Tasmania shops or designated police stations:
- provide the Certificate of Competency which will be given to you on successful completion of the practical test or approved training course certificate
- return your current driver licence - Full/Provisional, plus current heavy vehicle learner licence (where applicable)
- have your photograph taken
Customer receives
You will receive:
- a driver licence (temporary licence)
- a licence through the mail
- a receipt for return of existing driver licence
Payment
You need to pay:
- the licence fee (extension or variation fee)
