East Tamar Highway North of Fourteen Mile Creek
The Tasmanian Government have allocated funding to undertake bank stabilisation work in the Road Reserve on the East Tamar Highway, approximately one kilometre north of Fourteen Mile Creek.
Why is the Department of State Growth doing this work?
The work is required to repair a short section of embankment, approximately 50 metres long, on the western side of the road. This will involve earthworks to reconstruct the bank beside the road.
Embankment stabilisation and road works have now been completed by Tasmanian based company Shaw Contracting (Aust) Pty Ltd. Works commenced in May 2017 and were completed in July 2017.
