Tasman Bridge Shared Footpath
Update on Tasman Bridge Shared Footpath Ramp
Construction of a new shared footpath ramp on the Western end of the Tasman Bridge will start in the week commencing Monday 9 August 2010. The shared footpath ramp will replace 24 steps on the city side of the bridge on the western shore. Work on the new ramp is expected to take 14 weeks to complete.
Motorists
Motorists Travelling from Hobart towards the Tasman Bridge exiting at the Domain Highway off-ramp are advised the a temporary 40kmh speed limit applies. Outside peak times, intermittent delays of up to 8 minutes may occur.
Pedestrians and Cyclists
During construction intermittent closures of the downstream (city side) Tasman Bridge shared footpath and connecting pathways will be required.
