If you are travelling to South Hobart please be aware of upcoming temporary traffic diversions during nightworks on Davey Street.

Due to works at the intersection of Davey Street and the Southern Outlet there will be occasional detours for traffic from Davey Street into South Hobart between 6:30 pm and 6:30 am until Sunday 28 November.

Access from Davey Street to the Southern Outlet will not be affected, and no detours will be in place outside of working hours.

Please allow an extra 15 minutes if travelling at these times of travel time, refer to local signage and follow the direction of traffic controllers.

During our working hours, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am, all traffic will need to travel via alternative routes to access South Hobart.

Light vehicles will be able to detour via Sandy Bay / Dynnyrne to access South Hobart via Lynton Avenue.

Heavy vehicles will be detoured via the Southern Outlet to the Olinda Grove interchange where they can return via the Southern Outlet and access South Hobart using the left turn lane on to Davey Street, which will remain open.

Emergency services will be escorted through the worksite to access South Hobart.

These detours are required as part of ongoing works to rebuild and resurface Davey Street between Murray Street and Molle Street, and Antill Street and the Southern Outlet.

Works on this project started in late August, and are expected to be complete by the end of 2021, weather and other conditions permitting.

We thank you for your patience while we repair the road surface on Davey Street.
