The Tasmanian Government has released full details of the improvements to North West Tasmania’s bus services.
The new routes will commence on Sunday, 17 January 2021.
The changes will see the introduction of a new North West Express service, linking Burnie and Devonport, with stops in Penguin and Ulverstone as well as the introduction of Sunday services to Smithton, Wynyard, Latrobe, Port Sorell, and Sheffield, as well as on key Burnie and Devonport urban routes.
The network will also see an increase in intercity services from Hobart to Launceston including an early morning express service to accommodate university students, workers and those passengers wanting to spend a full day in either Launceston or Hobart.
Intercity services will also increase to Devonport and will enable easy onward travel to Burnie using the new North West Express service.
