The Tasmanian Government has commissioned a planning study to look at ways to reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability on the Tasman Highway between Sorell and Hobart.

The Tasmanian Government has commissioned a planning study to look at ways to reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability on the Tasman Highway between Sorell and Hobart.

This study will help shape future projects between the airport roundabout and Hobart, as well as options for active and passenger transport (pedestrians, bikes and buses) between Sorell and Hobart.

The community are being asked to help identify areas for improvement, highlight any safety concerns and make suggestions about how and where changes could be made.

This study complements a number of other projects that are part of the South East Traffic Solution already in planning, including replacing the Midway Point roundabout, duplication of the highway between the airport and the first causeway, and the Hobart Airport Interchange.
