Medical and driving assessment requirements
If you hold an Ancillary certificate you will be required to
- undertake a Medical assessment at the commercial standard every 3 years until 65 years of age, and
- annually thereafter
- or at the request of the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.
If you hold an Ancillary certificate which is restricted to operating only nominated ride source vehicles you will be required to
- complete an annual medical declaration or
- be under medical review (at the commercial standards) due to a medical condition.
The Registrar will conduct auditing of ride-source drivers regarding Fitness to drive.

You are not required to have a driving assessment unless requested by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.
