Driver Licensing Case Management

Driver Licensing assist clients to navigate through the driver licensing system using a case management approach, as detailed in the Driver Licensing Case Management Framework.

Case Management has 2 programs – Novice Case Management and Case Management for full licence holders.  The Novice Case Management program to L1, L2, P1 and P2 drivers only.

The aim of case management is help people remain licensed, where appropriate, and to help people follow the rules and their obligations around driving and licensing, so our roads are safe.

A key part of case management is the requirement for case managers to make administrative decisions in-line with the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 and the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 and the decision making guidelines. These powers have been delegated to the case managers by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.
