  • How do I obtain my BPAY payment details to renew my driver licence?

    If your licence expires before 1 June 2020 and you haven’t already renewed it and wish to use BPAY, you will need to call Service Tasmania to obtain BPAY payment details.
    All licences that expire on or after 1 June 2020 will have a BPAY payment option on the renewal form.

  • Can I pay for my driver licence over the phone or internet using my credit card?

    No, payment over the phone or internet using a credit card is currently unavailable. If you require further assistance in regards to payment options please call Service Tasmania.
  • Do I have to renew my learners licence?

    If it expires between 1 April 2020 and 29 September 2020 the expiry date will be extended to 30th September 2020. If your learners licence expired prior to 1 April 2020 please contact Service Tasmania.

  • I am 65 years of age or older and wish to renew my licence what should I do?

    If your licence expires between 1 April 2020 and 30 September 2020 and you are 65 years of age or older, your licence will be automatically renewed and mailed to you at no charge. If your licence expired prior to 1 April 2020 and you wish to renew it, contact Service Tasmania.
  • I am 65 years of age or older and have recently renewed my licence do I get a refund?

    Licences that were due for renewal between 1 April 2020 and 30 September 2020 and have been paid for are eligible for a refund if you are aged 65 years or over. Those in this group who paid for their driver licence before 1 April 2020 will be also be eligible for a refund.
