What happens after you have submitted your notification?
When the notification form has been received by State Growth you are deemed to have authority and you can begin providing a public passenger vehicle service or provide driving instructor services in Tasmania (whichever is relevant).
You will be notified in writing if there are any changes to your deemed authority or if State Growth requires further information about your notification form.
When providing your service you must comply with the following:
- you must always have your authority from the interstate/territory with you while driving a public passenger vehicle in Tasmania
- you must comply with any limits, conditions or undertakings applying to your authority in your original state/territory
- you must comply with all the condition applying in Tasmania to authority holders. Otherwise, we may take compliance, enforcement or disciplinary action against you
Your AMR authority will be recorded on the public register and can be verified by calling the Driver Licensing Unit on 6166 3237.
