Bass Highway - Cooee to Wynyard planning study
We completed a planning study along the Bass Highway between Cooee and Wynyard, to identify areas to improve travel time reliability and safety.
The purpose of the study was to improve network travel time reliability and safety by developing a Corridor Improvement Plan. The Plan identifies and prioritises areas of improvement along the corridor for both roads and bridges.
The result of this study is a Corridor Improvement Plan. The Plan identifies improvements and priority projects.
Community members, business owners and key stakeholders provided valuable input and suggested improvements for the highway.
The final study report can be downloaded below. It outlines the feedback received and our response.
We will work closely with Waratah - Wynyard and Burnie City Councils to implement the corridor improvements, starting with the projects identified as high priority.
The Cooee to Wynyard Planning Study looked at the section of Bass Highway from the intersection with Brickport Road in Cooee to the intersection of Old Bass Highway at Wynyard.
