Greater Hobart Park and Ride
We are investigating new park and ride locations for the greater Hobart area to provide more public transport choices for travelling into the Hobart CBD.
We’re making smart transport changes to keep Hobart connected as it grows. We have developed concept designs for three park and ride facilities planned for Claremont, Midway Point and Rokeby.
About the project
The new park and ride facilities will help provide more choice for travelling into Hobart’s CBD. The park and ride facilities will offer commuters car parking close to existing key bus routes to experience a more relaxing trip into Hobart. They’ll also be safe and inviting spaces that connect with cyclist and pedestrian routes.
The three locations have been chosen because they are population growth areas:
- Claremont Link Road and Maralinga Drive, Claremont
- Fenton Street, Midway Point
- Pass Road, Rokeby

Community consultation
We want to hear from you about what will make these facilities an attractive, user-friendly option for the community.
You’re invited to comment on the concept designs for the facilities.
You can do this by visiting any of the below locations during their opening times, or submitting your comments online until Saturday, 30 July 2022 via our online consultation website.
Feedback received will be used to help develop detailed designs for the park and ride facilities.

Timing
We’re currently receiving feedback on the designs for the Claremont, Midway Point and Rokeby park and ride facilities.
