The Department of State Growth has reviewed school bus services throughout Tasmania and proposed changes to improve the school bus networks in:

  • Wynyard and Burnie
  • Devonport
  • Port Sorell and Wesley Vale
  • Launceston (Glenara Lakes)
  • Richmond and Campania
  • Copping and Dunalley
  • Lauderdale and South Arm

Parents and caregivers of students living in affected areas were asked to provide feedback on the proposed changes during the consultation period, which has now closed.

State Growth is assessing feedback before finalising the changes in two releases.

  • For students travelling to school in Wynyard, Burnie, Devonport, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Wesley Vale, Launceston and Campania, changes took effect on 3 February 2021.

  • For students living in Copping, Dunalley, Lauderdale and South Arm, final changes will be announced in Term 1, 2021 and implemented after Term 1, 2021.
