Rokeby Main Road Upgrade

South Arm Highway Extension/Rokeby Main Road

The State Government is committed to upgrading the South Arm Highway / Rokeby Main Road to four lanes from the Mornington roundabout through to Diosma Street at Rokeby. These works will improve transport efficiency and safety as well as improve access to residential areas.

Project Update - September 2015

Work on Stage 1 was completed in January 2015. This involved improving the road curve on Rokeby Hill, constructing four lanes with a median barrier from Diosma Street to east of Buckingham Drive and a new signalised intersection at Pass Road.

The upgrading of Stage 2 from Oceana Drive to Pass Road has been progressing ahead of schedule and is now complete. These works involved converting the remaining section of highway to four lanes and the provision of new access arrangements for Howrah Gardens residents and businesses.
