Bass Highway – Wynyard to Marrawah – Corridor Strategy

The Department of State Growth is developing a corridor strategy for the Bass Highway between Wynyard and Marrawah.  You can provide your feedback and comments on our interactive map until 7 June 2019.

Why is the Department of State Growth developing this strategy?

This strategy will identify road transport challenges. It will look at potential improvements and upgrades in the short, medium and long term.

The corridor strategy will prioritise improvements and upgrades. It will take into account the current road condition, and the growth in the agricultural, forestry and tourism industries using the road.

Planning

The strategy will help shape future projects. The information gathered will help plan improvements and upgrades, and prioritise them for funding approval. The Department will continue to consult with the community and key stakeholders throughout the project.

Have your say

You can provide your feedback and comments here on our interactive map.

Consultation with key stakeholders has begun. This will help us find out what is important to road users in the area, and to start developing solutions to provide short, medium and long-term benefits to the region.

We welcome feedback and comments from the community on their concerns or suggestions to improvement this section of the highway.

We will use community feedback and other information to develop the corridor strategy and identify project priorities.

Provide your feedback by 7 June 2019.
