Freight Access Bridge Upgrades Program
The Freight Access Bridge Upgrades Program upgrades state road bridges in order to allow for high-productivity freight vehicles (HPFV).
The Tasmanian Government is committed to strengthening Tasmanian bridges on key routes to retain the existing levels of service for heavy vehicle freight and community access.
Midland Highway, Jordan River Bridge at Jericho
The Department of State Growth has started works to upgrade the bridge over the Jordan River at Jericho.
Changed traffic conditions and speed restrictions will be in place during the works, to keep workers and road users safe. Please follow all signs and allow enough time for travelling through the work areas.
Strengthening works started in November and will be finished by the end of December 2018. The project will involve work underneath the bridge structure.
