Sorell to Hobart Planning Study
About the Study
The Tasmanian Government has commissioned a planning study to look at ways to reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability on the Tasman Highway between Sorell and Hobart.
This study complements a number of other projects that are part of the South East Traffic Solution already in planning, including replacing the Midway Point roundabout, duplication of the highway between the airport and the first causeway, and the Hobart Airport Interchange.
Find out more about the South East Traffic Solution projects.
The Department of State Growth is encouraging the community to help shape the future of the Tasman Highway between Sorell and Hobart.
This study will help shape future projects between the airport roundabout and Hobart, as well as options for active and passenger transport (pedestrians, bikes and buses) between Sorell and Hobart.
The community are being asked to help identify areas for improvement, highlight any safety concerns and make suggestions about how and where changes could be made.
You can let us know your feedback and experiences online, by visiting the Sorell to Hobart Planning Study interactive map. Feedback closes on 30 November 2018.
