Tasman Highway / Skyline Drive Intersection Safety Upgrade
The Tasman Highway/ Skyline Drive Intersection is an important aspect of the Tasmanian Government's initiative to upgrade the Great Eastern Drive.
The Great Eastern Drive project will enhance the driving experience and improve safety for visitors and locals on this iconic stretch of the Tasman Highway.
About the project
The project will deliver improved road safety, improved pedestrian safety and safer bus movements at the intersection.
We will consult with stakeholders in December about the two proposed design options and ask the community for their feedback.
The design will be finalised after the consultation has been completed.
A public display and community consultation period will be open from 2 – 14 December 2019.
View the design option, provide feedback and talk to project staff:
- When: Saturday 14 December 2019, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
- Where: Surfside Motor Inn, 269 Tasman Highway, Beaumaris.
The two design options can also be viewed at Break O’Day Council from 2-14 December 2019.
Feedback forms and a sealed comment box will be provided at both locations.
When will work take place?
The design will be finalised by the Department when consultation has been completed.
Construction works are planned for the 2020-2021 construction season.
