Waterhouse Road Sealing

The Tasmanian Government has allocated funds to carry out sealing work on Waterhouse Road in two stages, over two years.

These works will make travel safer, providing a consistent, all-weather road environment.

About the project

We will be providing two 2.75 metre wide sealed lanes along Waterhouse Road. The work will take place in two stages, with the first stage taking place in early-2019.

Stage 1

The first stage of works will start at Banca Road and progress towards Gladstone for about 5 kilometres.

Stage 2

Stage 2 will continue from the end of stage 1, continuing along Waterhouse Road to Gladstone.

Construction dates

The first stage of works will start from early February 2019, and will be completed by the end of April 2019, weather permitting.

Traffic management

Works will take place from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. There will also be occasional Saturday works.

Lane closures and reduced speed limit will be in place during work hours. This may affect travel times.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
