We conducted the Greater Hobart Household Travel Survey in 2019 to look at how, where, when and why people in Greater Hobart are travelling.
Around 2000 households across Greater Hobart completed the survey, with the data collected being used to provide the Department with information about daily travel patterns, including methods of travel, times of travel and purposes of travel.

The data collected through the survey is being used to update Greater Hobart Travel Demand Model, to improve the accuracy of future travel predictions. This model helps inform transport improvements across greater Hobart.
