About the project
We will be strengthening and repairing a stretch of the Ridgley Highway, north of Basils Road in Hampshire, needs repair and strengthening.
Timing
Work is set to begin in the 2024-2025 construction season. We will provide more details as soon as possible.

About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
These works are being completed as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
