The Road Safety program will improve road safety for all Australians by completing upgrades on sections of highways, local roads and intersections known for previous incidents and serious crashes.
In 2024, the Australian and Tasmanian governments committed $27.5 million for the next round of funding, which will focus on five projects improving road safety for local communities and road users across the state.
The Australian Government is providing $22 million towards the projects under the Road Safety Program, with the Tasmanian Government contributing $5.5 million.
