About the project
We are repairing and strengthening the Lyell Highway, south of Butlers Gorge Road in Dee.
Timing
From Monday, 10 November 2025, we will be working between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 7:00am to 4:00pm Saturdays as required.
Please allow up to 15 minutes extra travel time during this work, keep to speed limits, including outside working hours, and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.

About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
These works are being completed as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
