Transport Services is a division of Building Tasmania. We seek to provide a transport system for Tasmania that is safe, recognises the needs of the community, and helps to enhance economic development.
Transport Service's role is integral to the strategic investment in infrastructure and transport, regulation, creation and maintenance of Tasmania's road systems.
Our transport system includes:
- Passenger transport such as buses and taxis
- Registration
- Licensing
- Roads and bridge infrastructure strategy and development
- Road safety regulation and promotion
- Vehicle and traffic compliance
- Walking, cycling infrastructure and sharing the roads
