You can be a supervisory driver if you:

  • Have a full Australian car licence,
  • Have not been suspended or disqualified from driving in the past two years,
  • Have a blood alcohol content of less than 0.05 (but preferably 0.00) while supervising, and
  • Sit in the front passenger seat of the car when you’re supervising a learner.
