Interchange information

The Burnie interchange is on Cattley Street, between Mount Street and Wilson Street.

Within a five minute walk visit:

• Burnie Plaza, offering toilets, a parenting room, shops, a supermarket, and more
• CBD, accessed from Mount or Wilson Streets, including retail outlets, cafes and public spaces
• beach, waterfront precinct and visitor information centre, just 270 metres away.

The new Devonport Interchange is on Rooke Street, between Oldaker Street and Best Street. Use new modern shelters or visit the paranaple centre and Providore Place opposite.

Within a five minute walk, visit:

• paranaple centre and Visitor Information Centre on Rooke Street
• Rooke Street Mall next to the interchange, offering shops, services, cafes and restaurants
• Mersey River waterfront area
• riverfront walking track.

The paranaple centre offers a library, shops, toilets, parenting room, cafes and more. It is open from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

You can store luggage and buy intercity tickets at the Visitor Information Centre opposite the paranaple centre. It is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 2pm on Saturdays.

Future LIVING CITY development will link to Rooke Street, offering easy access to, inviting waterfront outdoor spaces, playground, new retail promenade, amphitheatre, and the new hotel.

The Glenorchy interchange is on Tolosa Street, between Main Road and Barry Street.

Public toilet amenities are available nearby:

• at the corner of Tolosa Street and Barry Street near stop G
• inside Northgate Shopping Centre, across Main Road.

The Hobart city interchange is based in Elizabeth Street, between Collins Street and Macquarie Street.

Within a five minute walk, visit:

• the Metro Shop at 40 Elizabeth Street (cnr Collins street, in the Elizabeth Street mall), open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. They can assist with timetable and other enquires about Metro Tasmania services
• toilets next to stop D3 at Franklin Square on Elizabeth Street, the Cat and Fiddle Arcade in Elizabeth Street Mall, and the Argyle Street carpark
• the Elizabeth Street Mall with visitor information centre, shops, cafes and restaurants
• Salamanca and waterfront precinct
• public parks and gardens including Franklin Square, St David’s Park and Parliament Lawns.

The Launceston city interchange is on Brisbane Street and St John Street.

Within a five minute walk, visit:

• Brisbane Street Mall and Quadrant Mall retail and dining areas next to the interchange
• public parks and gardens including City Park, Prince’s Square, and Royal Park

• Launceston Transit Centre for intercity connections
