You are eligible if you are a full-time student aged 19 or over, aged 70 or over, a War Widow, or have:

Child/student passengers pay a flat fare regardless of distance travelled. You are eligible until the end of the year in which you turn 18.

You can use cash on all services. Your driver may have limited change, so try to have the correct amount ready.
Fares are 20% cheaper when you use a smartcard like Greencard or Transportme, where available.
You can use a Greencard on services operated by Metro Tasmania, Tassielink, and Derwent Ferries. Learn more or apply for a Greencard.
You an use a Transportme card and real time app on services operated by Kinetic, Calow's Coaches, Manions' Coaches and some school bus operators. Apply for a Transportme card by selecting your operator from the list below.
Where smartcards aren't available, you may be able to purchase a 10-trip ticket from thedriver using cash to access the same 20% discount. To learn more, talk to your operator.
Passengers using a Greencard on Metro, Tassielink, and Derwent Ferries services entirely within the Hobart, Launceston, or Burnie urban areas:
The peak daily cap applies if your first trip is made on a weekday before 9:00am.
Passengers on Kinetic services entirely within the Devonport urban area (including Latrobe) can purchase a Daytripper ticket from the driver which permits unlimited travel on the day of purchase. Daytripper tickets are available for purchase between 9:00am and 6:30pm weekdays and 9:00am and 4:40pm on Saturdays. They cost:
