If the details needing to be updated on a current pass do not result in a change to the service operator or the type of bus pass issued, you do not need to apply for a replacement bus pass. Please email bus.passes@stategrowth.tas.gov.au to provide the updated information or visit a Service Tasmania Centre.

If the details needing to be updated on a current pass do result in a change to the service operator or type of bus pass issued, you will need apply for a replacement bus pass.

A replacement fee of $11 applies per bus pass.

Replace online

If you do not have access to a computer, please ask the student’s school to help you submit the replacement bus pass application.

If you cannot access the internet or do not have access to a credit/debit card, please visit a Service Tasmania Centre to complete and submit a replacement application and pay the replacement fees.

Replacement fees can be paid online via Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay.

Privacy

When you provide personal information to the Department of State Growth, the Department of State Growth (we) manage that information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004.

When you apply for a student bus pass we use your personal information to

  • Assess if you are eligible for travel assistance.
  • Cross-check if you are eligible for other types of travel assistance.
  • Manage your participation in travel assistance programs.

Providing incomplete or incorrect information may affect how we assess your application or properly maintain your records.

We may also use the information for related purposes or disclose it to third parties in circumstances allowed for by law, such as Services Australia (Centrelink).

You have the right to access your personal information by request to the Department and you may be charged a fee for this service.
