A digital version of the Logbook is available for use.

To download the logbook you will need to use Adobe Acrobat reader, which is a free program

The registered operator must keep the logbook and carry it when using the vehicle.

Rember to save the document to a place you can easily access it . Consider saving it to your homepage in a spot that's easy to reach. This helps you edit it during your travels and share it with an authorised officer if necessary.

You will not require internet access to view and edit the document once it is downloaded.

You must record the use of your vehicle, and carry your logbook in the vehicle while it is being used.

How to download the log book

Here’s how to download and save PDF documents on Android and iPhone:

1. For Android Phones:

  1. Download PDF from a Website or Email:
    • From a Website:
      • Open the browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
      • Navigate to the website containing the PDF (PDF 787.0 KB).
      • Tap the PDF link. A prompt will appear asking if you want to download the file.
      • Select Download.
    • From an Email:
      • Open the email with the attached PDF.
      • Tap the PDF attachment.
      • It will either open in a viewer or give you options to save it.
  2. Accessing the Downloaded PDF:
    • Once the PDF is downloaded, it is typically saved in the Downloads folder of your phone.
    • To access it, open the Files or My Files app (depending on your device).
    • Go to Downloads and find your PDF file there.
  3. Saving the PDF to a Different Location:
    • In the Files or My Files app, long-press the PDF you want to move.
    • Choose Move or Copy.
    • Select a new folder or location to save the file (e.g., Documents, or create a new folder).
    • Tap Done to save the PDF.
  4. Opening the PDF:
    • To open the PDF, tap the file in the Files app. It will open with a default PDF reader, like Google PDF Viewer or Adobe Acrobat.

2. For Apple (iPhone) Phones:

  1. Download PDF from a Website or Email:
    • From a Website:
      • Open Safari (or any other browser you use).
      • Navigate to the website containing the PDF.
      • Tap the link to the PDF (PDF 787.0 KB).
      • A preview of the PDF will open. Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow) at the top right.
      • Select Save to Files to store the PDF in the Files app. Or, choose Save to iBooks (now Apple Books) to open it in the Books app.
    • From an Email:
      • Open the email with the PDF attachment.
      • Tap the PDF attachment to open it.
      • Tap the Share icon at the bottom left.
      • Choose Save to Files or Save to Books depending on your preference.
  2. Accessing the Downloaded PDF:
    • If you saved it to Files: Open the Files app. Then, tap the Browse tab. Go to iCloud Drive or On My iPhone to find the folder with the PDF.
    • If saved to Books: Open the Books app and go to the Library tab to see your saved PDF.
  3. Moving the PDF to a Different Location:
    • In the Files app, find the PDF you want to move.
    • Long-press the file and select Move.
    • Choose a new folder or create one, then tap Move to finalise.
  4. Opening the PDF:
    • To open the PDF, tap the file in the Files or Books app. If in Files, it will open in a preview mode where you can zoom in, highlight, and annotate if needed.
