1Stakeholder and Community Engagement Framework

We have a Stakeholder and Community Engagement Framework to help guide how we engage with the community.

The State Roads Division Stakeholder and Community Engagement Framework aims to make stakeholder and community engagement a core part of how we make decisions. We use it to make sure our consultation and engagement processes are consistent and appropriate, and that we promote and use the right engagement tools.

We find out what the community and stakeholders value, want, or are concerned about, and incorporate this into our decision-making.

Devonport to Cradle Mountain Road consultation complete

Community consultation has now closed on the Devonport to Cradle Mountain Road Improvement Strategy.

We asked the community for feedback to find out how they use the road between Devonport and Cradle Mountain. We will use this information when developing our improvement strategy for the route.

The community was invited to fill out a survey or our interactive map or visit one of the in-person pop-up sessions that took place at Lake Barrington, Sheffield, and Cradle Mountain.

For more information, please visit the Devonport to Cradle Mountain Road Improvement Strategy page.

Arthur Highway Corridor Strategy consultation complete

Public consultation for the Arthur Highway Corridor Strategy has now closed. The consultation was open from Monday, 27 March to Sunday, 30 April 2023, and the community was invited to have their say on issues such as safety, public transport, walking, cycling, travel times, and the environment.

While the strategy is focused on the Arthur Highway between Sorell and Port Arthur, we also gathered feedback on potential improvements to the Nubeena Road Loop, which connects Port Arthur back to the Arthur Highway at Taranna. Most of this road is managed by Tasman Council.

You can view the feedback provided by the community via our online interactive map: https://stategrowthtas.mysocialpinpoint.com/arthur-highway-road-improvement-strategy#/
