Coal Creek Bridge
We are strengthening bridges around Tasmania to make sure they stay safe and efficient for heavy vehicles and the broader community.
We will be repairing and strengthening Coal Creek Bridge, on the Sheffield Main Road.
We are replacing the Coal Creek Bridge on Sheffield Road in Acacia Hills from Thursday, 13 November 2025 to Friday, 24 April 2026, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
A single-lane bypass will be in place from Monday, 12 January 2026 to Friday, 24 April 2026, weather permitting. A reduced speed limit will be in place at all times during the work. Please allow up to 15 minutes extra travel time and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and signage.
The bypass will be a single lane, and traffic lights will be used while the bypass is in place.
