About the project
We will be upgrading the safety barriers on Victoria Bridge and along a section of the Bass Highway near Devonport CBD.
The upgrade sites were identified based on technical advice and past crash history.
These upgrades will improve road safety by reducing the likelihood of the seriousness of injuries from crashes.
Timing
The design is complete and construction is expected to start in late 2026
Funding
This project is funded by the Australian Government and Tasmanian Government for approximately $300,000.
