Don River Bridge
We are strengthening bridges around Tasmania to make sure they stay safe and efficient for heavy vehicles and the broader community.
We are repairing and strengthening Don River Bridge on Sheffield Main Road as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
Temporary lane closures are required on the bridge on Monday, 16 June 2025 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The open lane will be 3.2 metres wide.
If your oversized vehicle requires a lane wider than 3.2 metres, you will need to provide 24 hours’ notice to the project team to arrange access over the bridge.
To arrange access, please contact the project team on 0418 723 667or email David.shawjohnston@fultonhogan.com.au
