About the project
We will be repairing and strengthening the Lobster Rivulet Culvert on Mole Creek Road.
Location
Timing
A tender for construction closed on 19 February 2025, once the contract has been awarded, we will notify you of the construction schedule. We expect construction to start in mid 2025.
About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
These works are being completed as part of FCUP, jointly funded by the Australian and Tasmanian governments.
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
Funding
The Australian and Tasmanian Governments have committed combined funding of $100 million to upgrade key freight routes under the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
