About the project
We will be upgrading the safety barriers on Victoria Bridge and along a section of the Bass Highway.
The upgrade sites were identified based on technical advice and past crash history.
Timing
We will be carrying out investigations on the Bass Highway between Middle Road and Tarleton Street on Friday, 12 June 2026, between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm.
During these hours, there will be a reduced speed limit and occasional lane closures. We will be working on the Latrobe-bound side of the highway. Please allow up to 15 minutes extra travel time if you plan on travelling through the area while work is taking place.
