About the project
We are investigating improvements for pedestrians at Allawah Street on the West Tamar Highway.
Timing
In December 2025, we conducted public consultation with a concept design for pedestrian improvements at Allawah Street.
Based on feedback received, the design is ongoing, and further information will be provided when available.
Funding
The project forms part of the Australian and Tasmanian governments’ $22.5 million commitment to targeted upgrades along the West Tamar Highway between Exeter and Launceston.
