About the project
We are investigating improvements for pedestrians at the Brownfield Lane intersection on the West Tamar Highway.
Timing
In December 2025, we completed public consultation on a concept design for pedestrian improvements at Brownfield Lane.
Based on feedback received, the design is being finalised, and further information will be provided when available.
Funding
The project forms part of the Australian and Tasmanian governments’ $22.5 million commitment to targeted upgrades along the West Tamar Highway between Exeter and Launceston.
