About the project
We are upgrading the West Tamar Highway intersection at Forest Road south in Trevallyn to improve road safety, traffic efficiency, network reliability and accessibility.
The project includes new traffic and pedestrian signals, upgrading the bus stop, modifications to the existing traffic islands and median, a new left-turn lane, pedestrian refuge, bicycle lane and shared-path connections.

Funding
The project forms part of the Australian and Tasmanian governments’ $22.5 million commitment to targeted upgrades along the West Tamar Highway between Exeter and Launceston.
