Midland Highway - North of Powranna Road

About the project

We will be repairing and strengthening the pavement of the Midland Highway north of Powranna Road as part of our Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).

Timing

The design for this project is nearing completion. We are planning to start work in mid-October 2025.

About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program

These works are being completed as part of FCUP.

FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:

• improve freight productivity
• improve efficiency and network reliability
• improve road safety for all road users
• reduce maintenance costs.
