Symmons Plains to south of Perth

This project improved the safety of the section of road between Symmons Plains and south of Perth by implementing a range of safety measures including a flexible safety barrier, curve improvements, safe turning facilities, and improvements to accessibility.

To reduce impact on the hawthorn hedged landscape to the west, the highway has been widened on the eastern side.

Trees and other vegetation have been planted in collaboration with landowners to replace those removed as part of the works.

Works started in late 2016, and the project was completed in June 2018.
