About the project
We are investigating opportunities to extend the shared user path in Riverside.
Timing
In December 2025, we conducted public consultation with a concept design for a shared user path between Tailrace Park and the Windsor Community Precinct. Based on the feedback received, we are continuing to investigate options to improve active transport on the West Tamar Highway.
As investigations progress, we will provide updates to the community on the design.
Funding
The project forms part of the Australian and Tasmanian governments’ $22.5 million commitment to targeted upgrades along the West Tamar Highway between Exeter and Launceston.
