About the project
The Arthur Highway Road Improvement Strategy, released in April 2025, identified a range of improvements between Sorell and Port Arthur to support safer, more efficient and reliable travel for all road users.
We are currently progressing planning and design work for a number of high-priority projects identified through the Strategy. These projects include overtaking opportunities and intersection upgrades at key locations along the highway.
Timing
Community consultation is expected to start in the coming months, with more information about the proposed projects to be released as planning progresses.
Your feedback will help inform future planning and design decisions.
