About the project
A section of Colebrook Road, north of Campania between the Native Hut Rivulet and Brown Mountain Road, needs repair and strengthening.
Timing
The design for this site is expected to be completed during the 2025-2026 financial year.
To inform our design, we need to carry out some field investigations.
These investigations will be completed between Wednesday, 18 March 2026 and Friday, 20 April 2026.
During these investigations, there may be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the safety of workers and road users.
Please allow about five minutes extra travel time while these investigations are taking place.
About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
These works are being completed as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day.
Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
