About the project
We will be strengthening and repairing Lake Leake Road in Campbell Town.
Timing
This site has been shut down for the winter period, and we will begin work again later in the year.
We began work on Monday, 16 February 2026 and expect to complete work in 2027.

About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
Funding
The Australian and Tasmanian Governments have committed combined funding of $100 million towards the FCUP program.
