We will be repairing and strengthening Liawenee Canal Bridge, Highland Lakes Road.
This work will begin in early February 2026, and we plan to complete the project by mid-July 2026.
The speed limit through the project site will be reduced to 60 km/hr during work hours, however, after application of the strengthening materials on the bridge, the speed limit over the bridge itself will be reduced to 20 km/hr at all times.

These works are being completed as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
