About the project
We have improved the Lyell Highway, west of the Dee River Bridge in Ouse.
Timing
This site is currently shut down for the winter period, we will resume work later in the year.
About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program
These works are being completed as part of Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day.
Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
- improve freight productivity
- improve efficiency and network reliability
- improve road safety for all road users
- reduce maintenance costs.
