About the project

We will be repairing and strengthening the Lyell Highway west of Dee River Bridge this year.

Timing

We will complete survey and investigation work on the Lyell Highway at Dee from late October 2025 through November 2024.

This will take around five days to complete.

About the Freight Capacity Upgrade Program

These works are being completed as part of FCUP.

FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day.

Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:

  • improve freight productivity
  • improve efficiency and network reliability
  • improve road safety for all road users
  • reduce maintenance costs.
