We are repairing and strengthening the Wivenhoe Eastbound Rail Underpass on the Bass Highway.
We will be working from Monday, 16 March 2026 to Friday, 3 April 2026, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be a reduced speed limit and lane closures at all times while we work.
Please allow some extra travel time.
These works are being completed as part of the Tasmanian Government’s Freight Capacity Upgrade Program (FCUP).
FCUP supports the productivity of freight vehicles by improving the roads and bridges they travel on day to day. Repairing and strengthening these sections of road will:
The Australian and Tasmanian Governments have committed combined funding of $100 million towards the FCUP program.
