Kanunnah Bridge - strengthening stage one

We have completed stage one of strengthening work on the Kanunnah Bridge, which crosses the Arthur River on Sumac Road.

Stage one involved strengthening the bridge’s beams from scaffolding beneath the bridge structure.

The bridge will be repaired in two stages:

• Stage one, which is complete, involved completing beam strengthening from scaffolding beneath the structure.
• Stage two, which began in early September 2023, will involve involved strengthening of the pier footings, replacing barriers and expansion joints, and repainting beams.  Find out more about Stage two here.
