Break-Me-Neck Hill Slope Stabilisation
We stabilised the slope of a 90m section of embankment on the southern side of the Tasman Highway near Nelsons Creek bridge.
The Break Me Neck Hill Remediation Project involved the slope stabilisation of a 90m section of embankment on the southern side of The Tasman Highway near Nelsons Creek bridge.
The main aim of this project was to improve safety for all road users by securing the slopes on the side of the road and stopping loose rocks from falling onto the road.
The stabilisation was done by placing mesh screening over the slope and drilling anchors along the top and bottom of the slope to support the screening.
This map shows where will be carrying out the remediation works.
This project is funded by the Tasmanian Government.
